'Hands together, eyes closed'

For many people, those words signify the start of a prayer time. But as the Canadian missionary John G. Lake says:

There is a mighty lot of difference between saying prayers and praying.

Prayer is a rich tapestry of traditional prayers, scriptural prayer, extemporary prayer, praying with others and personal prayer. It can be expressed in words, stimulated by a visual focus, include silence, be expressed in art or music.

These pages offer thoughts, ideas and resources for helping children and young people discover HOW to pray, not just how to say prayers.
